Due to its stunning location in the northern section of York Region, Georgina offers its fair share of idyllic lakefront properties. These are largely single detached homes with three to four bedrooms. Some have boating facilities, while others offer direct lake access. Home prices can range from C$400,000 to as much as C$10 million, with the homes nearest to the lake commanding the highest prices. Townhomes and vacant land are also available. Neighbourhoods in Georgina include Keswick, Sutton West, and Jackson’s Point. - Abundant water recreation opportunities. Georgina residents have access to three destination waterfront parks along Lake Simcoe. These are Holmes Point, Willow Beach, and De La Salle Beach. Some of the activities you can enjoy at any of these beaches include swimming and fishing (in designated spots).
- Camping spots and hiking trails. For those who prefer land-based activities. Georgina also has something to offer. Sibbald Point Provincial Park has forested hiking trails and establishing camping sites spread across 225 hectares. It also has a sandy beach as well as boat launches.
- Historic attractions. You can learn more about the town’s history at Georgina Military Museum in Keswick, which is the only museum of its kind in York Region. Another must-visit site is the Georgina Pioneer Village, also located in Keswick.
