Vaughan is the so-called “city above Toronto,” located just north of the city and well within the GTA’s York Region. One of the fastest growing cities in the area, Vaughan has made a name for itself as an agricultural centre, a shopping mecca, and a theme park destination. Almost 325,000 people call Vaughan their home. Downtown Toronto is only 25 minutes away.

Five constituent communities make up Vaughan: Concord, Woodbridge, Kleinburg, Maple, and Thornhill. The city is further broken down into more than a dozen historic neighbourhoods, most of which can be traced back to Vaughan’s farming roots.

Vaughan real estate at a glance

Single-detached homes and row houses make up a large portion of Vaughan’s housing market, with average sold prices recorded at around C$1.2 million. These properties tend to be on the larger side, with at least three to four bedrooms. Some luxury real estate is also available, on large lots and selling for upwards of C$3 million. A smaller section of the market features condos and apartments, especially in the Vaughan Metropolitan Centre (VMC) area.

There are various neighbourhoods to explore in Vaughan. These include East Woodbridge, Sonoma Heights, Columbus Trail, and Downtown Woodbridge.
