Whitchurch-Stouffville is a picturesque suburb north of Toronto in the beautiful York Region area. The town is surrounded by farmland, with agriculture as one of its primary industries. As its name suggests, Whitchurch-Stouffville was formerly two separate communities until amalgamation in 1971. Despite its distance from Downtown Toronto, the local GO station cuts travel times to under 40 minutes. With most of the town perched on the ecologically delicate Oak Ridges Moraine, Whitchurch-Stouffville has a hilly terrain with several rivers running through the community. Urban development is closely monitored here as the entire area is protected by various environmental acts. This helps preserve Whitchurch-Stouffville’s natural beauty.
